Anthony Quinn

Anthony Quinn, better known to the world as the Academy Award winning movie star of over two hundred films, was also one of the world's most talented painters and sculptors.

When his mother and father moved from Chihuahua, Mexico to Los Angeles, he went to the Selznick studios and wandered around the sets, drawing portraits of the stars hoping to receive some financial reward to help his family.

In addition to the beautiful drawings which he created as a child, Quinn was also a talented sculptor, winning his first statewide California competition at age eleven with his sculpted bust of Abraham Lincoln.

Many art professors called Quinn a Renaissance man who freely explored the limits of his own imagination, nurtured by his incredible experiences all over the world.

In his art, he was King.  Every shade of color, every stroke of his brush, every contour of his sculptures was his own personal statement.

Mr. Quinn enjoyed thirty major sold out art exhibitions throughout the world.  From Japan to Germany, his art received every accolade known to man.

His art is in the permanent collection of museums the world over, and his paintings and sculptures are in numerous public and private collections in over 30 nations.
