Mahalo Freddie

$39,500.00Price

Mahalo Freddie” is a unique, one-of-a-kind, original mixed media drawing on linen, hand-signed by the internationally acclaimed artist, actor, and humanitarian, Red Skelton.

The artwork measures approximately 21” x 14” and is framed using museum quality materials.

This very special drawing features Red’s most famous fictional character, Freddie The Freeloader, wearing a beautiful lei of Hawaiian flowers. A lei represents Hawaii’s official greeting and a sign of love from the giver of the lei to the recipient.  “Mahalo” means thank you in Hawaiian.

Red developed Freddie The Freeloader as an individual filled with love and respect for his fellow friends.  Freddie was always doing something nice for people—and especially for children.

Although Freddie lived in a shack located on the outskirts of a city, every television viewer loved, respected and admired Freddie.

Since Red Skelton enjoyed numerous art shows in Hawaii, it was only appropriate that Freddie came to Hawaii with Red and Lothian.  Freddie is seen in this wonderful original drawing enjoying the love of Hawaii confirmed by his beautiful lei.
